"As many faiths, so many paths."

About Ramesh Balsekar
A commerce graduate from the University of London, Ramesh S. Balsekar worked as the General Manager of a leading nationalized Bank and retired as its President in 1977.
Even during his working life, he always felt he was enacting some role in a play that must, and would, end soon.

Core Teachings
The essence of non-duality as expressed by Ramesh Balsekar
Non-Doership
Events happen, deeds are done, but there is no individual doer thereof. All actions are happenings through a human mechanism.
The Ego
Ramesh taught not to "kill" the ego but to "convert" it. Self-realization is the ego realizing it is not a separate doer.
Free Will
"Understand that nothing happens unless it is God's will and do what you like. What can be simpler than that?"
Peace & Harmony
Understanding non-doership provides relief from guilt, shame, and anxiety, resulting in enormous freedom, peace, and harmony.

Famous Quotes
Timeless wisdom from Ramesh Balsekar's teachings
"The happiness you are seeking is not to be found in the flow of life, but in your attitude toward whatever life brings."
"All Action is a Divine Happening through a human object — it is not something done by someone."
"Consciousness is all there is. Everything else is a concept appearing in it."
"You are not an object in consciousness; you are consciousness itself."
"There is no individual doer. Actions happen through the body-mind mechanism. Free will is a feeling, not a fact. The ego is merely a thought claiming ownership of actions."
"Suffering is psychological resistance to what is happening. Acceptance is not resignation; it is understanding. Grace is always present; it is the mind that blocks it."
“Who Cares?!”
"When that final understanding is about to happen, the one who is so anxious to know whether the final understanding has happened or not will finally say, 'Who cares?'"
